Set of two Florence Knoll lounge chairs

The Florence collection, designed by Florence Knoll, is a series of furniture that bears her name. The armchair features metal legs, a tubular frame, polyurethane padding, and leather or fabric upholstery. Florence Knoll Bassett, a pioneer in modern American design, was renowned for her innovative approach to space and furniture. As head of Knoll's Planning Unit, she designed with the larger environment in mind, ensuring each piece complemented the overall architecture. Her work, including the iconic Florence Relax collection, combined modern architecture with human-scale design, emphasizing simplicity and harmony.
